This listing is for a Universal Model DST De Luxe Streamliner Sewing Machine ready to use out of the box!

This machine was cleaned, oiled, adjusted and tested October 2017. Bobbin contains fresh thread.

About this sewing machine-

Likely from the 1950's. Uses class 15 bobbins and regular 15x1 needles. Straight stitch with reverse and a stitch length setting.

Machine weight:  32 lbs.

Cosmetic condition: Pretty good. There are a few areas of light discoloration from age. There are also 2 lines that were drawn near the needle plate, on the bed, I suppose to act as a seam guide. I was unable to remove them.

How it runs: The motor is 1 amp and runs fast! The commutator was cleaned as well. Its recommended to place this machine into a table because it runs so strong that at full speed it will literally vibrate across the table. It sews a perfect stitch front & back. Refer to pics.

Wiring: In good condition.

Measurements: (for placing machine into a sewing table) Base of machine is 14.5" x 7".

New parts: New needle and belt.

Manual: No.

Attachments:  None available. You can find low shank hemmers online.

Shipping: This item will ship 1-2 days after receiving cleared payment. Ships via UPS. Insurance is included in the purchase price. Your machine will be SECURELY packaged for shipment. When you receive the machine, please open from top, and carefully remove. Please remove packing carefully! PLEASE NOTE: The price listed for shipping is actual cost for 32 lbs and up.

Note: The motor will be removed from the machine for shipping. After you unpack the machine, simply secure the motor back onto the machine with the screw provided. The weight of the motor should just hang on the belt- then tighten the motor bolt. Do not push the motor down too much on the belt- as this will over tighten the belt. Run the machine, and position the motor either up or down on the motor boss as needed- never make the belt too tight or this will strain the motor.

I wrote a book on Vintage Sewing Machine Repair, because servicing your own machine is that easy. Be aware that some sewing machine repair shops won't even bother with older machines because they want to sell you a new plastic one.

Please Read:  Selling As Is- At the time of your purchase this machine is in excellent working condition. The motor is working great. However, I make no guarantee on the motor, because its original for this machine.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
If you are interested in this machine, use the form below. I answer all emails same day until 5pm EST.
Thanks and have a great day!, Connie McCaffery
